Randall Lee Christenson

Randall Lee Christenson was born February 21, 1954, in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Clarence “Kelly” and Hazelle J. (Christenson) Christenson. He was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson. He grew up and attended school in Benson, graduating from Benson High School with the Class of 1973. He went on to attend Willmar Vo-Tech College, in the welding program. On July 26, 1975,
Randy was united in marriage to Vicky Puchalski at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Benson by Pastor Stockman. This marriage was blessed with a son and 34 years of marriage.
Randy worked as a welder his entire life, working at Case/Tyler, Lorenz Manufacturing and Wilkins Manufacturing in Morris. Among the things he enjoyed were fishing, swimming, hunting, cooking, baking, card & board games, reading, and John Wayne movies.
Randy was called from this life on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck. He attained the age of 56 years 1 month and 17 days.
Randy is survived by his wife Vicky of Benson; son, Chad (special friend, Alysha Cassman) Christenson of Fergus Falls; two grandchildren: Dominique Cassman and Joshia Cassman; siblings: Jerry (Connie) Opoien of Benson, Clayton (Fern) Christenson of Lewistown, MT, Keith (Linda) Christenson of Fletcher, OK, and John Christenson of Willmar; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Kelly and Hazelle; and a sister-in-law, Vicki Christenson.
