Vickie Maras Bahl
March 3, 1955 — January 14, 2019
Vickie Maras Bahl began her journey on March 3, 1955 in Benson, MN, being born to Viola and Robert Maras. After graduating from Benson High School she attended college in the Twin Cities, then came back to Danvers, MN, where she held Assistant Manager at the Dancers Liquor Store.
Following her marriage to Glenn Bahl on August 11, 1989 and becoming mom to Shannon, Torina, and Eric they lived near Big Bend, then in Holloway. She worked in the mail room at Prairie Correctional Facility in Appleton, MN.
She loved camping, being at the lake, and spending time with family in Minnesota. A big change came for this country girl, when she and Glenn moved to Washington State in 2001. She became a pharmacy tech for Wal-mart, then a grandma five times!
She loved going to the lake, watching the grandkids and being with Papa (Glenn). She and Glenn resided in Marysville until she needed hospice care due to advanced stages of dementia.
Her earthly journey ended January 14, 2019 in Everett, WA. Vic is survived by her husband, Glenn; mother, Viola (Don) Olson; children: Shannon and Ben (Hammond) Torina and Brent (Tangen) and Eric and Lorna Bah; grandchildren: Devin Bahl, Ronnie Sweet, Kyler Tangen, Kolby Tangen and Greta Hammond; three brothers and three sisters. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation to Alzheimer’s research. A celebration of life will be held in Swift Falls, MN, and Stanwood, WA, at later dates.
